We’re looking for a talented, experienced Sales Director on behalf of our client, a major, name-brand provider of media monitoring and marketing intelligence solutions.
Preferred background: At least 5 years of B2B sales leadership in the Media Monitoring space, managing sales teams of 6 or more.
Position: Sales Director, Media Intelligence
Your team will consist of 8 Business Development managers, with annual revenue of more than $4 million.
Specifically, this position focuses on Media Intelligence: Designed to monitor media, reputation, market trends and competitors, the service helps analyze and visualize large volumes of news and business data, both from print sources and the Web.
The role is accountable for:
1) driving new business from existing customers and
2) closing new business/ securing new customers.
Proven experience and understanding of the sales process, contract negotiation, pipeline development, CRM development and forecasting is required.
The company is headquartered in the Midwest; location for this job is flexible – you just need to be in the Eastern time zone near a major airport. [40%+ travel, visiting field sales reps and clients.]
