The Position

The Marketing and Communications Manager will be responsible for promoting the company brand and developing marketing and communication initiatives to further support their business building. This position will support the corporate brand as well as subsidiaries.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Strategizing and Creating Customized Marketing Plans for the Operating Companies
  •     • Total project management, ongoing communication with operating companies
        and marketing team to ensure delivery and execution of marketing plans
        • Produce marketing materials and PR programs that target well-known
        national trade publications
        • Direct and manage in-house and outside designers, writers and agencies
        to review and edit all marketing materials
        • Work with PR agency to execute PR programs

  • Brand Management
  •     • Assure compliance and provide direction for appropriate name usage and
        brand applications as well as coordinate with legal prior to any filings
        • Work with Operating Companies and vendors on proper application of
        branding, signage, graphics, stationery, giveaways. Direct divisions on
        brand usage and design.
        • Ongoing management of proprietary Online Ordering System to provide
        standardization across the companies saving time and significant costs
        • Provide support, as needed, for sponsorship and/or employee donation
        programs

Skills and Experience Required

  • B.A./B.S. preferred in marketing, journalism or related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years experience
  • Proven ability to direct and manage personnel and consultants, multi-task, and manage multiple projects at in an action environment
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills, as well as editorial skills
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Creative with problem solving skills
  • Provide editorial direction and art direction; articulate concepts and ideas. Knowledge of design and print is essential
  • Fluent in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Lotus Notes
