The Position
The Website Experience Manager is responsible for leading the development of the website's "look and feel". This includes the website's branding experience, content look and feel, messaging, information architecture, site features and functionality, as well as micro-site and landing page support. In short, an editor-in-chief for the website. Additionally, responsible for collaborating with the Global LRM Team and the other Regional Online Marketing Teams, and communicating North America's business requirements to ensure that our needs are being considered and acted upon when Global Marketing Plans are being developed. Responsible for thinking strategically and having an understanding of traditional and the digital marketing and media disciplines. Manage two direct reports; a Content Manager as well as a Creative Services Manager.
Responsibilities
- Develop the look and feel of the website so that the consumer is able to easily navigate and use our features and functionality in order to create a seamless user experience.
- Lead North American efforts for the new website migration efforts that will culminate in the new,
"green" site design.
- Create business requirements related to site development and communicate to Technology Team.
- Review and approve/reject all work orders that are written by the Producer Team. These work orders are the instruction documents that control all new development, maintenance, and content publishing on the website.
- Create project briefs for the Interactive Agency of record.
- Create new work orders and assign to the appropriate producer where appropriate.
- Make information architecture decisions for website.
- Attend Core Team and Steering Group Meetings with the Global LRM Team and other Regions.
- Manage QA Testing Agency and resolve bugs when identified.
- Secondary reviewer and tester for all work orders each week during the site implementation cycle.
- Review and provide input to Global Team on site design concept documents.
- Manage usability testing projects and set requirements.
- Create hitbox (site traffic tool) accounts, requesting these with the account owner.
- Use hitbox site metrics tool to track site performance, traffic, and page views. Produce reports for various business owners.
- Contact point for other BG's when they request site updates.
- Enter new marketing programs into MAT, request SOW from vendors, approve agreements.
- Manage budget in key bucket areas: content creation and design, online tracking and analysis, work order testing, new site concept development, e-commerce and search engine marketing.
- Apply new media, technology, interactive research and emerging standards related to digital media.
- Benchmark against other Interactive Marketing Organizations to create "best-in-class" user experience.
Requirements
- Expert in more than one marketing discipline.
- Typically 8-10 years relevant marketing experience
- Degree in Marketing or related field and/or equivalent experience.
- Requires a leading-edge knowledge base of the interactive space (brand building, websites, customer loyalty, marketing campaigns).
- Proven team leadership and team building skills
- Must understand basic marketing fundamentals, content creation and integration, E-Commerce, marketing promotion and campaign development.
- Knowledge of metrics measurement and back-end site support is highly relevant.
- Project management skills, must be able to manage multiple programs at one time.
- Outstanding relationship building skills
