The Opportunity:

Our client seeks a seasoned direct marketer with new product launch, acquisition and retention experience.

This is a high profile opportunity for someone who can roll up their sleeves and passionately drive a start up DM venture within a well established, solid company with a long term view for this effort. This individual will be a passionate business driver who "gets things done" and is willing to roll up his or her sleeves to ensure success at all levels. He or she will most likely be in a role today focused on direct marketing, product management, business development, or general management with a consumer marketing company.

Responsibilities:

• Set the acquisition strategy including media mix, offer structure, communication message and positioning, for print/mail/telemarketing/web/radio.
• Decide offer structure, pricing and terms by media
• Refine concept testing strategy to enable quick iteration and analysis of ideas.
• Strategically prioritize marketing and product development efforts using return on investment model; analyze cost, activities, operations and forecast data;
• Redesign communication of core benefits in acquisition materials to increase awareness and stimulate early usage.
• Identify new channels and target markets for products.
• Identify, source, select and negotiate with outside vendors: call center, fulfillment, data processing, etc. required to execute the product launches.

Requirements:

• Seven plus years of direct marketing background, with previous product launch experience
• Solid analytical skills
• Well-developed influencing skills with the ability to work in a matrix environment.
• Be an active member of a high performing Management Team, with creative energy, initiative, accountability and teamwork. Build strong collaborative relationships within the company and across other departments.
• Undergraduate degree required, MBA preferred
