Overview
Our client has an opportunity for the newly created position of Director Database Marketing. He (she) will develop and manage the enterprise-wide marketing database. He (she) will work with the Database Manager to coordinate DB updates and data overlays. This role will be the in-house database-marketing expert charged with bringing best practices to the organization. This role will work closely with various Publishers and their marketing staffs in integrating the use of the database into their existing marketing efforts. This position will also act as an internal consultant to various marketing groups throughout The Company.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 8 years database experience with hands-on database marketing experience preferably in a publishing or direct response company
- Extensive knowledge of direct marketing strategies, analytics, DB structures and technologies
- Expert in segmentation and list enhancement techniques
- Have demonstrated analytical skills and comfort with data, metrics and statistical methods including modeling.
- Needs to possess excellent communication and presentation skills to deliver recommendations and finding to staff AND clients and prospects.
- Strong people skills are necessary to deal effectively with problem solving, brainstorming sessions, strategy development and conflict resolution
- Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and stay calm under pressure
Bachelors Degree required, Master's preferred.
