Our Client is a privately held international consumer medical device company headquartered in New Jersey. Our Client has developed a unique technology which offers an innovative application in the therapeutic class of non-drug treatments. Non-drug therapeutic products are uniquely positioned to answer the consumer's desire to take a more active role in managing their health.

The Position

The Director, Consumer Marketing will provide direction and leadership to promote the profitable growth of the Company's products through online, offline and trade marketing initiatives.

Experience and Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will handle the planning, management, execution and analysis of:

  • Online Marketing: Website strategy and communications, email marketing, CRM and promotions, including appropriate messaging and presentation of offers to maximize conversion and profitability.
  • Trade/Channel Marketing: Assist in the preparation/execution of a comprehensive trade marketing strategy and materials for the company's launch of RESPeRATE into chain drugstores and other retail outlets.
  • Direct Response Marketing: With advertising and media agencies, manage creative development and media optimization across multiple offline direct response advertising channels.
  • Branding: Assist in the creation of new brand, positioning and messaging guidelines for the company and its product lines.
  • Strategic Planning, Reporting and Analysis: Create annual consumer and trade marketing plans and budgets. Manage to the objectives, strategies and tactics prioritized within plan and ensure analytical rigor is continuously applied to optimize the plans' implementation.
  • Market Research: Oversee and summarize regular prospect and owners tracking studies as well as ad-hoc qualitative and quantitative consumer market research.
Required Skills

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years experience of successful strategic planning, management, execution and analysis of website properties, online media and promotion, direct-to-consumer marketing (TV, print, radio or other) and/or retail trade marketing.

The candidate will also have general project management, marketing P&L management and consumer product/brand management experience. Also, experience in marketing communication, PR, positioning or branding work, agency management or professional/medical marketing would be a plus. An undergraduate college degree is required and an MBA is preferred.
