Job Description:

We have an opening for a Database Manager at one of the leading magazine publishers in the world. This position will be primarily responsible to act as a daily liaison between various marketing department and corporate IT. He (she) will manage internal database requests for counts, orders, reports, profiles, and train staff on use of system. He (she) will also work with the Database Administrator to coordinate database updates and data overlays. This role will be the in-house data expert charged with maintaining data integrity.

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years database experience with hands-on database marketing training preferably in a publishing or direct response company
  • Familiarity with direct marketing strategy, analytics, database structures and technologies
  • Expert in segmentation and list enhancement techniques
  • Have demonstrated analytical skills and comfort with data, metrics and statistical methods
  • Needs to possess excellent communication and presentation skills to deliver recommendations and finding to staff
  • Strong people skills are necessary to deal effectively with problem solving, brainstorming sessions, strategy development and conflict resolution
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and stay calm under pressure
College Degree preferred

This position offers a base salary of up to $100,000 plus performance bonus.
