The Opportunity:

We have an opening for an Account Supervisor at a full-service, relationship marketing agency with offices in New York City and elsewhere. Our client looks to deliver innovative, targeted solutions to expand their brands and help forge lasting, valuable relationships with their customers.

Job Description:

A seasoned Account Supervisor is needed to oversee the day-to-day team, Client, and project management activities of the account. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following responsibilities:

Strategy

  • Ensure agency deliverables meet Client's strategy and are cohesive with Client goals and objectives with the use of appropriate analyses and tools.
  • Construct program/product strategies and analyses for Clients.
  • Work with Client in defining problems and opportunities.
  • Review program results, research findings, segmentation data, competitive activity, etc., with Account Director and Marketing Information and Analysis team to identify marketing opportunities.
  • Utilize analytic financial principles to refine program strategy as appropriate.
Client Relations
  • Maintain and grows primary Client relationships.
  • Sell new project ideas to Client.
  • Manage and exceed Client expectations.
  • Act as a conduit (with Account Director and Management Supervisor) for Client feedback regarding agency performance.
Project Management
  • Plan and prioritizes account team work plan and delegates responsibilities while ensuring principles of efficiency, economy, and quality are utilized in all client work.
  • Oversee various budgeting processes.
  • Manage efforts among departments to ensure a seamless presentation to the Client.
  • Involve Account Director to address key Client/business issues as appropriate.
Staff Development/Team Building
  • Supervise, manage, and mentors Account Management staff. Assist with the hiring, training and evaluation of staff.
  • Director/Management Supervisor to foster professional development and prepare team members for promotion.
  • Work to develop expertise/skills in Account Management team members.
  • Fosters and promote a team working environment among the disciplines on the account.
  • Mediate internal and Client issues as appropriate.
  • Actively enforce agency-wide policies, procedures, and processes.
Agency Growth
  • Actively participate in agency-wide training programs.
  • Develop an awareness of new opportunities to expand and grow clients' business and generate agency revenue.
Experience:

We are looking for someone with a Bachelor's Degree, plus six to eight years of related agency experience with one or more years of supervisory experience. The ideal candidate will demonstrate superior communication, organization, and presentation skills. An understanding of the economic impact of marketing programs and the key drivers impacting program financials is also necessary. They will also have an understanding of relationship marketing techniques and how they are utilized to deliver Client objectives.
