The Position:

We are seeking an experienced and talented Account Director to lead an account in our Washington, DC office.

Responsibilities:

Project Management

  • Guides overall development and execution of account plans and ensures that the team stays within the approved plan.
  • Plans and prioritizes account team work plan and assists in delegating responsibilities in conjunction with Account Supervisor and Management Supervisor.
  • Ensures quality control by reviewing agency products including: creative work, financial analyses, key client communications, key schedules, creative strategies, and strategic decks.

Strategy

  • Provides clients with insights and proactive recommendations.
  • Leads clients in the development of strategic plans and objectives.
  • Provides expertise in direct-to-consumer marketing.

Client Relations

  • Maintains and grows client relationships on a senior level.
  • Develops client relations beyond existing account.
  • Partners with client to grow their business

Staff Development/Team Building

  • Manages staffing and resources across all disciplines on respective team, including the identification of cross-functional and strategic needs.
  • Mentors and strengthens Account Supervisor and Management Supervisor as strategic partners and leaders within the team.
Experience/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree, plus at least 10 years of related agency experience; pharma experience required.
  • Proven track record of building and retaining client business.
  • Four or more years of supervising and mentoring staff.
  • Specific understanding of direct and relationship marketing and all related disciplines.
  • Experience in multi-channel strategy and program development.
  • Ability to provide leadership across departments in a team environment.
  • Ability to meet high standards for quality and accuracy.
