Our client is the go to firm for aircraft valuations across the aviation sector. As the primary source for aviation information, the world's top investment banks, leasing companies, airlines and airports, manufacturers, brokers and insurers depend on them to provide quality information and expert advice to support and deliver results for business decisions.

The Position

With expansion in the Americas, our client is looking for an experienced professional to join the Consulting team to deliver aircraft valuations. Their customers rely on their valuations to support aircraft trading activity. Valuations are used to support internal decision making around deal activity and to support risk management during the deal due diligence phase.

Business Development

  • Assist the sales team in New York in pitches and state of the industry updates for customers
  • Product Development (New and Existing)
  • Contribute to New Product Development through product ideas, review of products (from a customer perspective) and drive development of products for the FI market.
  • Provide on-going support to existing product strategy

Consulting

  • Work on Risk Advisory assignments (projects for Financial Institutions that involve data analysis, market analysis and/or risk modeling).
  • Work on other consulting projects on an ad-hoc basis
  • Perform data analysis to assist data sales

Internal

  • Assist with education and training of staff in aircraft finance, especially Capital Markets
  • Pro-actively carry out data analysis with our client's product suite to test views based on 'gut feeling' and to find new market insights
  • Speak at conferences, customer briefings and other industry events

Skills and Experience

  • Excellent understanding of the financial markets, particularly Equities and Fixed Income
  • Knowledge of structured finance (essential)
  • Advanced Excel and Access skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

Key Performance Indicators

  • Support achievement of revenue target
  • Support product development - new product sales and on time delivery of updates to existing products
  • Delivering timely research to finance and leasing clients

  • External: Financial institutions (banks, i-banks, leasing companies, funds, private equity, analysts)
