Position

The Marketing/sales Database Analyst will have responsibility for managing and reporting on lead generation and sales pipeline activities via Salesforce.com; analyzing and reporting on web site analytics trends and conversion rates; supporting the marketing team with list segmentation and campaign analyses, and will work out of the mid-town New York City offices and report to the Senior Manager of the Marketing Data Analytics team.

  • Salesforce.com Analytics - advanced experience and knowledge of SalesForce.com reporting is required.
  • Web Analytics - Leveraging Coremetrics and Google Analytics reporting tools to analyze and report on site visitor/customer activities and identify areas for improvement; measure search behavior, conversion rates, referrals, purchase patterns.
  • List Segmentation/Management - handle a variety of integrated marketing campaign list requests (direct mail, email, market research, and sales-lead-gen initiatives).
  • Business Intelligence Reporting - leverage Oracle data to increase analytical capabilities; research information for product marketing team, run queries: FoxPro/SQL and Oracle Discoverer; compile and deliver business intelligence reports to end users on a regular basis.
  • Campaign Response Measurement - Provide integrated marketing analytical solutions across customers and channels to add values to the decision-making process and ultimately improve marketing strategy and results. Conduct in-depth post-mortem analyses on marketing campaigns, from analyzing the list selections, creative, timing, offer, and calculating the ROI and providing the customer profile information.

Knowledge & Skills

  • College graduate (Bachelor Degree) with 2-5 years of work experience involving database marketing analytics from the integrated marketing/e-commerce industry (direct mail and online).
  • Advanced knowledge of relational databases. Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) as well as database tools such as Microsoft Access and Oracle Discoverer.
  • Intermediate level and hands-on experience with SQL/ SAS programming is a must.
  • Advanced experience - Salesforce.com reporting is required.
  • Experience in conducting sales and marketing campaign response analyses; Ability to study and detect the trends and articulate through reporting.
  • Fundamental knowledge and experience with web analytical tools and interfaces, i.e. Coremetrics, Webtrends, Google Analytics is required.
