What do they do?
Our client helps senior executives of consumer-facing organizations make investment decisions that can drive millions of dollars in increased profits. They with their clients to build their key strategies, guiding corporate decisions including:
- We're considering investing hundreds of millions of dollars in rolling out the "store of the future" across our chain - what impact will our investment have on store sales?
- A supermodel / sports celebrity endorsement costs us tens of millions of dollars per year - is it worth it for us to continue the endorsement?
- We've got a new menu item that we believe will rapidly grow in popularity into being a signature dish. Should we promote this concept in a snack size on our dollar menu or in a full size as part of a combo meal?
- Do sponsored ads alongside Google search results drive off-line sales in brick-and-mortar stores?
Our client answers these high stakes questions through a powerful combination of analytically-driven strategy consulting and enterprise software.
What will I do there?
Do you enjoy being at the center of it all? Our client is looking for a marketing manager who can take responsibility for coordinating their various marketing activities, including PR, event marketing, email marketing, collateral preparation, and marketing effectiveness analysis. Your average day will encompass a broad range of goals, ranging from crafting marketing messages for online banner ads to building relationships with journalists to quantifying the ROI of trade shows that are attended. You will gain experience in the equal parts art and science related to marketing to business executives and will develop a keen sense for crafting go-to-market messages that differentiate our client's tools. As you begin in the marketing manager role, you will take ownership for sales support and awareness driving efforts for one of the seven industries targeted (specifically, retail, banking, insurance, grocery, consumer goods, restaurants, and hotels).
Qualified applicants for this role are equally strong in rolling up their sleeves to independently carry a project from start to finish as well as exhibiting a talent for working collaboratively with teams, building strong relationships across the company and knowing how and when to ask for support. Opportunities for professional growth exist both in learning how to successfully grow a high bandwidth marketing organization as well as developing expertise in the execution of specific marketing tactics (e.g. running a world class email marketing program).
Our client's marketing efforts are themselves characterized by a scientific approach - namely, they are constantly focused on trying new ideas and approaches then measuring ROI to determine which work, which don't and which need to be fine tuned to improve effectiveness. They challenge conventional wisdom when target metrics don't back out and never hesitate to try new approaches to spreading their message.
As a marketing manager, you are expected to have a leading role in driving company growth and penetration in the marketplace.
