The Position
As a key member of the marketing and sales team, the Director, Business Development will be an experienced, ambitious, self-motivated, competitive high achiever who will directly contribute to the growth of business by building referrals from the mortgage, real estate, and financial services communities. This success-driven individual will generate and follow up leads, build relationships from his/her own network contacts and marketing campaigns, manage new accounts and coordinate with Marketing and Business Development to strategically grow accounts.
Responsibilities
- Support development of strategic sales plans, innovative business model and consumer-friendly brand positioning to meet company objectives.
- Identify potential business opportunities through research and prospecting.
- Establish and cultivate relationships with industry professionals to acquire new business and grow revenue.
- Prepare written proposals and/or formal presentations in response to prospects' expressed interest.
- Follow up broker and lender leads generated by regional and national marketing campaigns in a timely and effective manner.
- Manage existing and new client accounts as may be necessary.
- Maintain complete, updated status of all information relating to sales activities.
- Meet and exceed aggressive sales goals.
Experience and Qualifications
- Four-year college degree preferred.
- 5+ years sales experience, including 2 years of new business or sales development.
- Measurable experience selling services to mortgage brokers and/or lenders or significant related sales experience within the title industry, mortgage or financial sectors.
- Excellent communications skills, teamwork and integrity.
- Self-directed and ability to work remotely with strong sense of personal accountability for results.
