The Position
Web Developer/Editor focusing on HTML page construction, testing and maintenance.
Responsibilities
The HTML Editor's primary responsibility is to assist the Marketing and Technology Departments with production of sales and marketing web pages, as well as weekly and monthly customer e-newsletters and HTML emails.
This position will work with existing templates to add copy and images as well as formatting and editing and will be responsible for creating corresponding text versions of emails and newsletters. Additional responsibility will include design of sales collateral for PDF format and web pages. The ideal candidate will also handle site data maintenance including managing all site copy, and retiring old files from the site.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience with HTML/CSS including CSS-based HTML layout and ability to manipulate raw HTML code
- Excellent written communication skills and editing skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Prior experience with HTML email and template construction
- Ability to code landing pages, proofread copy, deploy email, recommend best practices
- Manage multiple email campaigns to database segments and oversee email frequency and contact sequencing
- Deliver weekly email performance reports
- Create email tests to drive performance
- Knowledge of video optimization of web preferred
- Search Engine Optimization experience a plus
- SQL coding and knowledge of SQL GUI systems a plus
- Working knowledge of Dreamweaver, adobe Photoshop, and illustrator a plus
- Knowledge of Silverpop Engage a plus
- Knowledge of email clients in Outlook 7 and knowledge of website compatibility with all browsers a plus
Education
At least two years of college with relevant coursework preferred.
