The Position

The Online Campaign Director will manage end-to-end planning, creation, execution, and reporting of high performance online marketing campaigns in email, display, search, affiliate networks, and other digital channels

Responsibilities and Skills

  • Plan, develop, execute, analyze, and report, high performance acquisition, retention, upsell, and reactivation campaigns in email, display, search, affiliate networks, and other digital channels.
  • Consistently drive core brand values across all online campaigns.
  • Effectively target core consumer segments in online channels by behaviors, demographics, psychographics, and geographics, to deliver optimized performance across all campaigns.
  • Identify new online partners with advanced acquisition capabilities.
  • Negotiate profitable acquisition deals.
  • Analyze customer lifetime values by core segment to calculate allowable costs per acquisition (CPAs) to ensure profitable acquisitions with rapid paybacks and high lifetime ROIs.
  • Continually monitor lead quality to ensure traffic is performing profitably.
  • Manage relationships with internal and external copy, creative, development, and technical resources to develop profitable campaigns.
  • Proactively initiate ideas and offers for testing new campaigns and concepts and work with internal teams and external resources to develop and execute effective tests across all online channels.
  • Manage current and new online partners under a CPA (performance based) or CPM (impression based) model to ensure profitability across all partnerships.
  • Manage data partnerships with analytic modeling partners to provide high quality prospecting leads and identify clear next steps for monetizing leads.
  • Produce accurate marketing media budgets and production/development budgets for each campaign.
  • Develop accurate performance and ROI forecasts for each campaign based on historical metrics.
  • Execute meaningful tests in each campaign to ensure continuous improvements in future campaigns.
  • Produce and distribute timely and accurate campaign reports with "Summary Highlights" to present performance by key business metrics.
  • Continually strive to improve campaign performance and reduce costs.
  • Develop integrated contact strategies across all marketing channels (online and offline) and ensure consistent messaging and timing across all channels; work with traditional offline marketing teams (Direct Mail, Print, Radio) to execute integrated multichannel campaigns.

Experience and Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) is required and 5+ years relevant online experience in acquisition, retention, lead gen, and campaign management across email, display, search, affiliate networks, and other online channels.
  • Manages outside vendor and agency relationships to maximize effectiveness and ROI; creates clear performance metrics with vendors and agencies; holds vendors and agencies accountable for performance.
