Responsibilities
- Identification, prospecting, quoting, and selling of targeted new regional MCOs including but not limited to regional HMOs and/or Third party administrators
- Initially offering these targeted MCOs discount offerings that may be converted to fully funded or exam only business at some point in the 24 months following sale
- Collaborate with "Client Service Organization" to ensure effective and timely resolution of service related issues
- Develop and maintain internal relationships with all departments that may interface with the sales process
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers, brokers, employers.
- Fulfill reporting requirements including maintenance of contact management system, internal files and general information
- Completion of Field Coaching Guide and any/all ad hoc reporting requests are a prerequisite
- Regular updates are required for prospecting and likelihood of sales assessment
- Increase knowledge and skill level to improve ability to communicate with regard to products, procedures, systems, competition, trends and technology
Requirements
- Understand the correlation of sales office costs to company overall performance and be able to recommend appropriate strategies
- Responsible for prudent but ongoing entertainment of brokers and clients in accord with policy
- Work closely with Finance to determine appropriate revenue and operations income levels are realized by client
- Coaching, mentoring, conflict resolution, strategic planning, communication of Director of Insurance Sales/Director of Commercial Sales - East/West/Director of Special Markets/Divisional Vice President of Marketing and Sales
- Strategic planning, influencing, presenting, conflict resolution, coordination of sales team
- Negotiation, performance management, influencing, presenting, conflict resolution, coordination, communication, contract administration of customers
- Negotiating, interventions, influencing, conflict resolution, collaboration internally
- Five or more years of experience in servicing managed vision care clientele and/or extensive managed care sales experience
- Knowledge of alternative financing arrangements preferred
- Experience in developing broker and/or customer relationships
- Strong managed care knowledge
- Strong communication skills
- Superior negotiation skills
