The Company

A global leader in high end luxury retail packaging solutions plus a commercial product line, headquartered in Southern New Hampshire, North of Boston, is a vertically integrated private corporation operating profitably since 1972. Their international clientele are divided between North America and Europe with production sites in China, Indonesia and Korea.

The Position

To meet an aggressive growth plan the Director of Marketing will work with the VP Sales and Marketing to develop a short term/long term marketing strategy to identify new markets and new initiatives. Given the highly diverse markets served, the Director of Marketing will utilize all his/her creativity and ingenuity in order to develop a clear direction for the company's sales and marketing focus.

The successful candidate will be a passionate marketing professional who can quickly leverage a thorough understanding of diverse existing markets, analyze target markets and draw on all his/her marketing skills to develop a workable sales and marketing roadmap.

Responsibilities

The Director of Marketing will be responsible for development and execution of the strategic marketing plan including identifying, evaluating, measuring and qualifying potential marketing opportunities and creating a plan for implementation.

Requirements and Experience

  • 4 year college degree required, advanced degree viewed favorably
  • Possess a "roll-up-the-sleeves" attitude and hands-on style
  • High energy level and adaptability to move equally between long-term strategic issues and short-term tactical implementation
  • Well-rounded marketing skills
  • Develop and present strategic marketing and promotional plans, creative concepts and proposals, as well as manage the development of tactical plans and program execution
  • Experience implementing a variety of direct marketing strategies preferably in a consumer goods environment
  • Measurable track record of identifying and implementing profitable new initiatives;
  • Range of tactical knowledge and skills include: quantitative methods and analytics and new product development
  • Self-starter, highly motivated and able to work independently
  • Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines for a variety of marketing deliverables
  • Proficiency in Office Applications: Word®, Excel®, and PowerPoint®
