Our client, founded in 1998, is a national database marketing company with a leadership position in building loyalty and affinity programs for banking, financial services companies and now retailers. The company has a suite of services ranging from data, analytics, promotions and customer experiences offers and programs. Their full range of services enables them to deliver every aspect of building and maintaining relationship-marketing programs.
The Position
The Vice President of Local Retailer Relationships will be responsible for all sales from local retailers in our client's network. He/She will be tasked with managing the growth of Company's ISO partnerships and the direct sales force organization. Overall, the Vice President will be charged with directing the business development and sales effort, hiring qualified sales staff, monitoring the results, quantifying the successes and shortfalls, adjusting as needed, and contributing the baseline strategies employed and fostering the strategies to be employed to build our client's network to support our banking partners.
Responsibilities
- Structure detailed plan for maintaining existing relationships with current retailers with whom our client do business
- Oversee the development of the ISO network and ensure the number of ISO relationships
- Help to foster new business relationships/recruit 10 new ISO's
- Develop and secure management approval for the plan to attract and retain ISOs
- Ensure the development sales presentations are the proper tools for the sales teams
- Train the direct sales force and support the education of the ISO sales via Webinars, in person and on phone
- Hold quarter reviews of plan vs. actual with each sales group: direct and ISOs
- Institute a best practices model for profitable clients.
- Participate in key industry trade shows
- Lead the weekly staff meeting to track and report progress/sales/ payments
- Monitor/Manage all charge backs/poor payment processes
Requirements
- +5 years managing P&L and sales executive headcount within a successful direct marketing field service organization
- +5 years of successful sales experience from within the banking or service companies
- Impeccable oral and verbal communications and presentation skills
- History of strong leadership, management, planning and execution skills
- Experience with affinity/partnership, BtoB, BtoC sales is favored
- Strong desire to work in an expanding growth area to drive company's unique opportunities
