Using both print and online publication they are able to create and market products that inspire and inform a wide audience of readers with interest areas ranging from: recipes and cookery, home and hobbies, to entertainment and education.

Position

The Editor of Cooking will be charged with the duty of editing two cooking publications currently in the marketplace and will assist in the development of any new cooking products as well.

Responsibilities

  • Source and hire cooking packagers to test and develop recipes and final pages
  • Daily management of the packager to establishing a consistent vision for the life of the product
  • Check proofs and manage budget and schedules
  • Collaborate directly with the global product development team

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Arts required
  • Minimum of 5 years editorial cooking experience with recipe editing and/or recipe testing
  • Knowledge of cooking techniques, mass-market cuisine and trends
  • Organizational skill vital to handling budget, schedules and project management
  • Macintosh skills required; proficiency in InDesign, QuarkXpress, etc.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with employees in various functions and levels of the organization
  • Knowledge of pre-press and printing a plus
