Postion

The Assistant Product Manager will be responsible for assisting and collaborating with other managers throughout the various stages of direct mail and package insert campaigns for publicized materials.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning, execution and tracking of direct mail and package insert campaigns for products
  • Assist in the development of campaign proposals inclusive of list order, test recommendations and campaign calculations
  • Review list orders as well as discuss Merge Purge strategies with Product Manager and Media
  • Analyze campaign outcomes, including test results and list performance; Make appropriate decisions and create action plans along with Product Manager
  • Work with in-house and outside designers to create new test designs, as well as updates/step test designs; Generate test ideas/designs for front-end and back-end
  • Closely review month-end financial statement and campaign costs along with Product Manager and meet with Production and Finance to discuss any discrepancies
  • Generate parameter and enrollment instructions
  • Performance evaluation tied to profit/loss of the product; Discuss all assumptions for budgets, 3-year plans and forecasts with Product Manager

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 1-3 years of experience in a direct marketing environment
  • Ability to learn systems to run campaign calculations and product consolidations
  • Ability to interact effectively with people in various functions and at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong project management skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • High attention to detail, with strong motivation, planning skills and organizational abilities
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical abilities
  • Self-starter, highly motivated
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel
  • Thorough knowledge of budget system, including ability to run campaign calculations and product consolidations
