The Company
Our client is a high profile, leading multichannel specialty apparel retailer. The company owns 6 distinctive brands and markets primarily to women's apparel through 2,000 stores in forty-eight states and an extensive catalog presence, all of which are extremely successful.
The Position
The client is seeking a Creative Director - Senior Designer to join their growing eCommerce division and will work across all brands with senior marketing leaders to create and produce multiple interactive projects to support and drive sales.
Responsibilities
- Manage the daily maintenance and work flow of projects, including creation of production schedules and status reporting to clients
- Manage Production Artist Team and provide effective direction
- Promote teamwork and coordination on all projects across departments
- Support existing division website improvements and New Business Teams in new program development
- Solicit, select and contract with external creative resources as needed and manage vendor performance and financials
- Interpret brand direction, project guide and strategy in to visual plan and execute
Requirements
- Bachelor of Fine Arts, or equivalent degree in commercial arts or related field; or equivalent experience.
- 5-8 years of experience in marketing/retail environment, with at least 4 in the e-commerce space.
- A visual portfolio demonstrating creative talent, refined sense of typography, use of images with overall simplicity and powerful sense of communication, especially for the fashion industry
- Leadership skills that demonstrate the ability to manage and motivate a creative team.
- Proven ability to work with multiple clients and brands to interpret their direction and strategy into a visual plan in order to achieve targeted revenue goals
- Extensive knowledge of web production and design software including Flash, Illustrator, Fireworks, Photoshop, Imageready.
