International company, headquartered in the Northeast, has developed a non-invasive innovative therapeutic medical device application direct-to-consumer to manage a healthy lifestyle.

The Position

The Director of Professional Medical Marketing will be a key contributor to the continued success of the company's innovative product line, providing leadership and creative insights to managing the professional sales and marketing effort.

Responsibilities

Planning, execution and analysis of:

  • Professional Strategy and Implementation: Building a comprehensive medical marketing plan to influence primary care physicians and other allied health professionals to understand, accept and recommend the product.
  • Key Account Program: Create a strategy and direct team to find and engage target community; and launch Partner program to educate and drive recommendation.
  • Team Creation/Management: Hire, manage and develop internal team as well as external reimbursement consulting firm and external professional marketing agency.
  • Forecasting/Budgeting/P&L Management: Create annual forecast and budget; manage to objectives; own P&L for reimbursement program and professional marketing team.
  • Payer Development/Management: Personally drive initial presentations and introductions into top private payer prospects.

Your Professional Portfolio

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, biology/science required; MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years experience of successful strategic planning, execution and analysis within professional marketing roles at consumer healthcare organizations
  • Experience as an account manager at an agency, or as a brand manager in pharmaceutical field, marketing products that are physician endorsed, but consumer-driven.
  • Industry contacts within the medical community
  • Experience in all aspects of professional marketing; strategic and tactical efforts
  • Aptitude for strategic planning and analysis
  • Organization and management skills (for employees, projects and consultants/agencies)
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to self-direct through multiple concurrent projects
