International company, headquartered in the Northeast, has developed a non-invasive innovative therapeutic medical device application direct-to-consumer to manage a healthy lifestyle.
The Position
The client is seeking an experienced healthcare sales professional for the position of Director of Sales. This position will lead the national sales and marketing growth, direct-to-consumer through retail outlets (large chain retailers/drugstores and durable medical equipment retail channels).
Responsibilities
Planning, execution and analysis of:
- Retail Strategy and Implementation: Build sales strategy and communications for entry into chain drug, independent pharmacy and DME/HME channels. Craft retail presentations; assemble pipeline of accounts to approach; craft general retail offering.
- Account Development/Management: Personally drive introductions into national chain drug accounts; oversee all initial presentations.
- Trade/Channel Marketing: Oversee the preparation/execution of a comprehensive trade marketing strategy and materials for the company's launch of product into chain drugstores and other retail outlets.
Your Professional Portfolio
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- 7-10 years experience of successful strategic planning, execution and analysis within retail sales roles at consumer healthcare organizations
- Experience directly managing pharmaceutical accounts
- Portfolio of industry contacts
- Experience managing wholesalers into the independent pharmacy or DME/HME channels a plus
- Successful start-up experience viewed favorably
- Proactive relationship-builder with proven experience of introducing a new product into retail pharmacies and chain drugstores
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work with cross-functional teams
