The Company
Our client is direct mail marketing company located in Tampa, Florida with over 125 employees and occupies over 75,000 square feet of office and warehouse space. They offer all the resources needed for companies to maximize their marketing efforts and return on investment.
The Position
Currently, there is an opening for a Director of Financial Sales. This position would responsible for managing sales activities by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors:
- Developing and implementing strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals.
- Directing sales forecasting activities and setting performance goals accordingly.
- Reviewing market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates.
- Directing the staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales program.
- Preparing monthly analysis of individual sales performance and results.
- Advising dealers, distributors, and clients concerning sales and advertising techniques.
- Analyzing sales statistics to formulate policy and assisting sales force in promoting sales.
- Planning and scheduling monthly sales meetings with sales force.
- Delivering sales presentations to key clients in coordination with sales representatives.
- Meeting with key clients to assist sales representative with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.
- Coordinating liaison between sales department and other sales related units.
- Analyzing and controlling expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements.
- Assisting other departments within organization to prepare manuals and technical publications.
- Preparing periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
- Monitoring and evaluating the activities and products of the competition.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position directly supervises employees in the Financial Sales Department and carries out such supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. As a supervisor some of the tasks required include: interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university
- Or a minimum of five years sales management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven track record of business to business sales experience preferred.
