The Position

The Technical Account Manager plays a pivotal role in maintaining client satisfaction and loyalty through ensuring exceptional service and creating value. The AM is the liaison between the internal technical departments and the marketing leaders to identify, analyze, research, and resolve inquiries on all aspects of the database solution deployed for the client. The AM must have a solid understanding of database and other marketing technologies and work aggressively to build strong cross-functional teams. This position also supports the organizations strategic, tactical and support functions in order to achieve corporate objectives. The AM is measured through financial, client satisfaction and peer acknowledgement metrics.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Functional Requirements and User Acceptance Specification
  • SDLC Project Management
  • Accountable for setting internal communication plans/methodology
  • Coordinate and manage internal and external client meetings
  • Manages contractual agreements.· Monthly billing and quarterly audits & reviews
  • New Client set up and all corresponding client paperwork
  • Client Satisfaction - Reference-ability reporting and QBR management
  • Revenue forecasting and updates
  • Single point of contact for error resolution
  • Looks for new opportunities within existing accounts for Sales Leader
  • Builds Department Level relationship - continual needs assessment
  • Originates actions to improve existing conditions, processes and communication

Position Requirements:

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university.
  • Minimum three years of experience working in a customer support and/or sales capacity role in the Database Marketing industry.

Language and Communication Skills

  • Ability to effectively express ideas and thoughts verbally and in written form.
  • Exhibits good listening skills and comprehension.
  • Effectively keeps others adequately informed by presenting information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors using the appropriate communication methods.

Mathematical Skills

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning and Problem Solving

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
