The Position

Presently, our client is looking for a Lead Business Analyst to help drive direct marketing initiatives. The individual who obtains this position will be a key player that will utilize broad technical, business and industry knowledge to identify client needs for quantitative analysis. This position will create relevant solutions for clients and develops methods or processes for implementation. In addition, this individual must have the ability to use an understanding of the organization and strong communication skills to forward team goals and to satisfy clients. Also, the Lead Analyst will provide guidance to others and take project lead on a short-term basis.

Responsibilities

  • Address and analyze marketing programs using the following tools and techniques:
    • Customer profiling
    • Segmentation Analysis
    • Data Analysis and Mining
    • Data Enhancement
    • Break-Even Analysis
    • Predictive statistical models
  • Determine quantitative methods for solving client issues
  • Assist in presenting ideas and findings to future and existing clients
  • Proactive and effective interaction with other internal groups
  • Evaluate and improve internal tools and processes

Qualifications

  • Graduate degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Marketing or related quantitative field required
  • Previous experience in direct marketing in the financial services sector (Credit Card or Insurance) is preferred.
  • 2 or more years experience in quantitative arena, preferably in database marketing
  • Ability to apply statistical techniques such as linear regression, logistic regression to business problems.
  • Strong SAS skills are required, including ability to manage data using BASE SAS and SAS MACRO and to use SAS STAT procedures. SQL is recommended.
  • Strong written and oral presentation skills; experienced team player
  • Strong problem solving; takes initiative and ability to work both independently and in teams
