The Position

Our client seeks an intelligent and experienced salesperson for the position Account Executive of National Account Sales. An individual in this role will be expected to call on major retail accounts and yield quality sales results and income.

Responsibilities

  • Develop leads and prospects for new advertising
  • Develop and execute a daily account contact plan
  • Conduct face-to-face meetings with C level clients and prospects
  • Analyze prospect needs and make direct marketing recommendations to generate new business within product lines
  • Manage and support existing accounts while generating additional revenue
  • Interact with various disciplines such as Account Managers and Marketing for a team approach
  • Ensure profitability by adhering to pricing as established by management
  • Meet or exceed sales revenue goals
  • Perform other duties as assigned or directed that help build growth. This could include the development of sales material for prospects and other creative endeavors

Requirements

  • Competitive nature and a high degree of persistence
  • Proven track record with national accounts
  • Media/direct marketing background preferred, retail rolodex a plus.
  • Outstanding verbal and communication skills
  • Ability to develop relationships and communicate at executive levels in nationally branded/nationally located companies
  • Ability to manage deadlines accurately, effectively and efficiently
