Our client is a premier, publicly held interactive media company that develops its own content and builds Internet and mobile communities tailored to consumers' specific interests and lifestyles. Their full solution marketing services group delivers media, analytics, and results to third parties through its four business groups.

Position Overview

Currently the client is seeking a bright, motivated and experienced individual to fill the role of Director of List Sales. This position will be charged with the following:

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and close new accounts
  • Manage all existing clients and increase monthly orders of existing clients.
  • Handle count requests for managed lists via phone, fax or e-mail
  • Order entry and daily follow-up
  • Call brokers for guarantees of payment
  • Follow up with service bureaus to ensure proper fulfillment and timely shipment
  • Enter clearances and email/fax/PDF with samples to List Owner for review
  • Bring appropriate concerns to the List Owners as they arise
  • Respond to requests for data cards, usage, and samples immediately
  • Print order summary each week for the prior week and cross sell a minimum of 5 other lists to brokers daily
  • Review unbilled order reports and respond accordingly
  • Review pricing when orders come in to confirm any deals in Deal Manager and with the Sales Manager
  • Attend local trade conferences and shows
  • Enter and follow-up on all reuses before the close of every month
  • Thoroughly understand each list managed

Requirements

  • 3-5 years direct mail list experience
  • Strong Sales experience
  • Aptitude for details
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Hard working and ability to multi-task
  • Entrepreneurial spirit
  • Ability to work independently
