The Company

Founded in 1975, the client is a wholly-owned subsidiary of a leading provider of data processing and list fulfillment services to the not- for- profit segment. The client is currently expanding their role to include e-mail data and fulfillment, data/data append services, as well as database marketing solutions.

The client compiles one of the largest, most accurate and comprehensive consumer databases available in the country, covering 120+ million households and 195+ million individuals. In addition, they compile a database of approximately 34+ million households developed from lifestyle survey data. Another one of their databases covers marketing platforms provide direct marketers with exceptional query, segmentation, campaign execution, and analytical capabilities.

Responsibilities

As the Sales Executive, you will leverage your knowledge of consultative selling strategies and current direct marketing best practices to convert prospects to the client's Data Processing and Data Marketing solutions. This is primarily a new account development position.

You will be expected to:

  • Continuously prospect new customers to meet and exceed stated sales goals and to maintain a pipeline of new opportunities for the future.
  • Continually probe client and prospects needs to connect those needs with the client's solutions.
  • Integrate an assigned Marketing Coordinator into the customer service aspects of a new client.
  • Serve as the primary client relationship manager.
  • Promote the client as a leader in the direct marketing services industry.

Requirements

  • Three plus years successful sales experience from within the not-for-profit direct marketing industry.
  • Knowledge of data processing services, database sales and the ability to provide an integrated solution to prospects and customers.
  • Ability to stage a consultative selling process that overcomes objections and indifference and connects "need" with the client's solutions.
  • Ability to stay current with the client's innovations as well as products and services offered by the competition and the broader direct marketing services space.
  • Impeccable oral and verbal communication and presentation skills. Strong listener.
