The client is continuously stretching the definitions of conventional research, operating across 6 continents, in 51 countries and 24 time zones.

The Position

The Account Group Manager supervises market research studies for the Financial Services Sector while generating additional business. Also, this position is the primary contact for the most critical accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Directs and oversees all phases of market research studies ensuring that all activities are done accurately, efficiently, within budget and in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for generating additional sales for Financial Services division
  • Manages all activities of assigned staff to include work assignments, training and development and performance review.
  • Establishes and maintains strong working relationships with internal and external clients.
  • Meets with business customers on a regular basis to discuss ways to develop additional business.
  • Recommends changes or modifications to existing procedures that can lead to improved service.
  • Generates reports and participates in presentations which address client issues.
  • Provides guidance and supervision to staff to ensure the accurate and timely execution of research studies or projects.
  • Participates in the development of financial plans and budgets.
  • Stays current on trends and developments in the area of market research.
  • Performs other essential duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or related field or equivalent in experience. Master's degree, preferred.
  • Minimum of eight years supplier side market research experience, including supervisory experience.
  • Prior business development experience specifically within the market research industry (Financial Services Sector)
  • Ability to supervise, direct and handle personnel and training issues.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external clients.
  • Ability to exercise professional judgment and assume responsibility for decisions which impact quality of service.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Results oriented.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and other business-related software systems.
